Highlands

Highlands was another first for Synergy, pushing us to adapt and refine our installation techniques for a unique construction method. Built using Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF)—where polystyrene walls are filled with concrete—this method allows for rapid construction, requiring our electrical installation to be meticulously planned and executed before the walls were boarded.

Adapting to a New Building Process

With the house structure going up at an accelerated pace, the wiring had to be strategically placed over the walls before final boarding. This required precise coordination with other trades and a deep understanding of how to integrate our systems into this modern construction technique. This was our first ICF project, and it laid the groundwork for future builds, including our latest project, Willow.

Highlands was designed to be a showcase for cutting-edge lighting and automation, with Synergy delivering a full electrical and smart home installation, including:

This project was a perfect fusion of innovative construction and high-end smart home technology, demonstrating Synergy’s ability to adapt and excel in new building methods. The experience gained from Highlands has already proven invaluable, as we continue to refine these techniques in upcoming projects like Willow.
